Community
Instead of the same old bar-conversation, guests who attend Real Talk events are engaged in deep explorations of meaningful topics. This is fertile ground for making powerful connections quickly.
Knowledge
Each week, you’ll lead a community exploration of a new contemporary divisive issue - from polyamory to A.I. We’ll provide you with a crash-course on the topic including major arguments on all sides, relevant videos and articles, and more. No one expects you to be an expert, but this will provide you strong motivation to dive deeply into a new, fascinating subject every week.
Income
Of course, profits depend on the number of guests, entry ticket price, etc., but Local Chapter Leaders can expect to profit $600-6,000 a month for 15-25 hours of work a week. For more, see How Much Money Can a Local Chapter Leader Earn? below.
Presentation Slides
Contextualizing the conversations by providing essential background information, arguments on all sides of the issue, real-world stories, and more.
Artwork
Allowing guests to explore the topic with the heart in addition to the head, showcasing the emotion and ethical dilemma of each issue.
Games
Offering a soft, fun, social introduction to each topic.
Music
Exciting the nervous system with sound. Pre-written topical songs for each event. As a Local Chapter Leader, you can decide whether to play a recording of a previous musician, or hiring a local musician to play the song live.
Merchandise Designs
Generating buzz about and pride in this project, Local Chapter Leaders will be provided merchandise designs featuring Real Talk artwork. These include bags, buttons, stickers, postcards, and T-shirts.
Marketing Materials
Marketing templates, rights to Real Talk Philosophy logo, access to Real Talk Philosophy Facebook page, photos of past events, and more.
Presentation Guides
Preparing the presenter to fully understand and successfully deliver the prepared content.
Discussion Questions
Guiding the audience through meaningful conversation, 15-30 powerful discussion questions for each issue.
Pre-Recorded Expert Interviews
Injecting conventional, academic philosophy and expert opinion into each discussion. Guest panelists are invited to participate in each live event. In cities where no panelists are available, pre-recorded Expert Panelist Interviews will be delivered to Local Chapter Leaders to screen at their event.
Community Haiku/Drawing Contest Prompts
Offering the chance to explore the topic with both hemispheres of the brain, each event includes a Haiku/Drawing Contest, the prompts for which are delivered to Local Chapter Leaders.
