Since 2017, Real Talk Philosophy has hosted 200+ events for 8,000+ guests in 12 cities across Asia, the US, and online. We create fun, interactive, multimedia, community events exploring all sides of contemporary divisive issues (masculinity, veganism, gender pronouns, immigration, and many more) with facilitated small-group discussions, impartial lectures, themed music, artwork, games, panelist Q&As, and more.
Small Group Discussions
All other event elements exist exclusively to contextualize meaningful small-group discussions, the heart and soul of Real Talk Philosophy. Small group sizes ensure that everyone has the chance to speak and listen. Curated questions guide the conversation.
Double-Sided Talks
A series of short, engaging, fun talks contextualize the small-group discussions in facts and major arguments on all sides of the issues.
Games
Unique games are designed for each event, offering guests a fun, soft introduction to the topic., and allowing political opponents to collaborate.
Commissioned Performances
Performances delivered by musicians, poets, rappers, and dancers bring life to each topic, exploring the nuance and dilemma with subtle rhythm and harmony.

As much of philosophical thought exists in the space beyond words, a team of artists create themed work for each event.
Community Arts
Attendees are encouraged to compete in Haiku & Drawing competitions each week, allowing them to express their thoughts and feelings through more than just words.

Experts in each field are invited to speak and answer questions from the audience.

In a time of such intense political and social division, it’s easy to assume that those who disagree with us are either uneducated or evil. By engaging in civil debate over divisive contemporary issues, we grant ourselves the opportunity to once again recognize the humanity in our opposition.
Real Talk Philosophy has partnered with TreeHouse Festival, Quest Festival, Jai Thep Festival, and Fashion Revolution Vietnam to bring philosophical discussion to the mainstream.
Real Talk Philosophy has partnered with yoga studios to teach Yogic Philosophy as a part of their 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. Each course includes eight 2.5-hour philosophy sessions and an accompanying manual.
Real Talk Philosophy works one-on-one to help community members design and deliver presentations on the topics they care about most.
